Gluten Free Simple Cherry Crumble

Simple Cherry Crumble
One of the best desserts is a nice, sweetly-tart cherry crumble & it is by far one of the easiest desserts to make! It will certainly put a smile on everybody's face, and with just 12 to 15 minutes in the oven, you can whip it up at the last minute.

Sweet, fresh cherries

What you need is:
  • a cup of fresh cherries per person, pitted
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons gluten free plain/all purpose flour
  • butter or margarine
For the crumbly crust, you can either make your own or simply by it pre-packaged from the supermarket. For this set of desserts, I opted for the pre-packaged crumble.

Method:
Pit your cherries using either a cherry pitter or by slicing them on either side of the pit

Simmer cherries in a saucepan for a few minutes until heated through, meanwhile combine your flour and water in a lipped mixing bowl
Pour sugar over and cook for about a minute

Pour over flour and water mixture, stir and remove from heat

Pour the cherries into buttered dish to bake, I tend to use separate ramekins to make it easier
Top with crumble and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until crumble is cooked the way you like it.
