Bacon Gorgonzola Sliders

Today, I'm so pleased to welcome a new blog friend, Dan, from Platter Talk. Dan, his partner and their gang of beautiful boys always seem to eat good! They constantly share mouthwatering and indulgent food, the kind of food that people want to eat--delicious, down to earth food without pretension! You'll love the look of these burgers, just you wait!

 Bacon Gorgonzola Sliders
Charbroiled mini-beef burgers laced with bacon and filled with warm Gorgonzola cheese, all on a heat and serve dinner roll, easy and delicious summer fare.

Outdoor grilling, or barbecuing, is a summer ritual here in the United States.  In fact when most Americans think of summertime, it’s hot dogs and baseball that first come to mind.  Let us not forget about hamburgers, the summer spouse, if you will, of the the all American hot dog.

We are two busy dads raising a gaggle of six boys and guess what?  Like their dads, our guys like to eat.  A lot.  Thus, throughout the any given day we cook.  A lot.  In the summer we take the show outdoors and fire up the grill.

These burgers, little more than bite-size portions, were fun to put together and utterly delicious to eat.  In lieu of Gorgonzola, for the boys, we substituted a lighter, more kid-friendly cheddar cheese.  Oh, and did I mention there is pork bacon in the meat mix?   All on a heat ’n bake dinner roll.   Uh ha.  Pure yum.  Pure summer.  For the complete story and a few more photos, please stop by PlatterTalk.com.  The post in its entirety with recipe and instructions can be found here: http://www.plattertalk.com/2013/07/bacon-gorgonzola-sliders.html
