Nutella pairs with chocolatey peanut butter cups to make an extra special cup of cocoa!

Peanut Butter Cup Cocoa

This peanut butter cup cocoa is a peanut butter and chocolate lover's delight. It's indulgent and sweet and the Nutella and the cream combine to make the cocoa very silky and smooth. For extra sweetness, I've piled on whipped cream and a few drizzles of toffee sauce. Yeah, I went there.

The really special thing about this cocoa though, is the whimsical mug it's served in! The mug and tea towel pictured in these photos are products from Gone Crabbing, a British range of coastal inspired clothing and giftware. I absolutely adore these products; they're beautiful and fun. The vibrant and bright colors are eye-catching and the soap is great! It lathers really well and it smells fantastic! Gluten Free Actifry Scrambled Eggs & "Skillet" Breakfast Potatoes Recipe

Breakfast just got easier with perfectly fluffy scrambled eggs & crispy skillet breakfast potatoes cooked in the Actifry air fryer!

Actifry Scrambled Eggs & "Skillet" Breakfast Potatoes

I'm a sucker for breakfast food! These eggs are outstanding. They're fluffy and soft and the potatoes are perfectly crisp on the outside and billowy soft on the inside, without all of the butter and oil normally used to make skillet breakfast potatoes. Making scrambled eggs for a few people is easy enough to do in a traditional skillet, but if you need to cook for a crowd (I'm thinking Christmas Eve breakfast), then the Actifry will make it an easy task! That said, there's no other way to cook these "skillet" breakfast potatoes than by ditching the skillet! Opting for the Actifry is the smart option as the minimal oil used makes these potatoes much healthier than the traditional, oil-soaked method.

If you're like me, you might be a bit dubious about eggs in the air fryer, but it really does work! I prefer my eggs scrambled soft so that they're still runny. It's harder to achieve this with an air fryer, so assume the eggs will come out on the more well-done side of cooked. That said, though, they're not hard and dry like usual well-done eggs! With an Actifry air fryer, you use about a tablespoon of oil for frying. This is all you need:

Gluten Free Nutella Gingerbread Cocoa with Starbucks Gingerbread Syrup Copycat Recipe

Indulgent Nutella hot fudge sauce gets re-purposed as the base of this cocoa with festive gingerbread syrup and finished with a sprinkling of fresh nutmeg!

Nutella Gingerbread Cocoa with Starbucks Gingerbread Syrup Copycat Recipe

This is perhaps the best Christmas drink I've ever tasted. Decadent Nutella hot fudge sauce makes up the base of this cocoa made with almond milk. The gingerbread syrup gets swirled in right at the end and then come the pile of toppings and grating of fresh nutmeg for a wholly festive and indulgent treat!

This cocoa is a nod to the ever-popular gingerbread latte that you can find in any decent coffeeshop during the holidays. But it's for us non-coffee drinkers! That's right, I hate coffee, y'all. But I love gingerbread and I don't think coffee drinkers should get to monopolize gingerbread in their hot drinks! I have to admit, when I was pregnant, I downed gingerbread lattes weekly. But, after giving birth, my disdain for coffee returned. But I still wanted that warming sweet gingerbread taste, so I decided to recreate it myself!

You're going to love this recipe, guys. You'll find yourself making it time and time again this season! And if you are a coffee drinker, you can drizzle some of that gingerbread syrup into your coffee, just the way Starbucks intended. The syrup will keep on the counter for up to a month, but I doubt it'll last that long!

Gluten Free Slowcooker Pulled Turkey Sliders Recipe

Monday, November 25, 2013

Tender turkey crown cooked in white wine and spices in the slow cooker makes an excellent filling for these delicious sliders!

Slowcooker Pulled Turkey Sliders

These pulled turkey sliders are my Thanksgiving compromise. They have all the flavor of a classic American Thanksgiving dinner but none of the fuss and there's no mound of leftovers to contend with, either. The turkey is slow-cooked in a rich bath of wine and butter before being shredded and stuffed into hamburger buns slathered with stove top stuffing and tangy cranberry sauce.

Celebrating Thanksgiving as an expat can be a bit tricky. Since Thanksgiving isn't celebrated in the UK, the day isn't a holiday. And since it's always on a Thursday, it means my husband has to work as do other family members and friends, which makes it difficult to invite people over for a mid-week feast. And when it was just my husband and me, we couldn't really justify the banquet of food synonymous with Thanksgiving. So, over the years, I've found ways to sneak in Thanksgiving without actually having Thanksgiving.

That's where these sliders came from. Of course, you could use this recipe with any leftover turkey you have and it'll taste just as fantastic. And if you really like the look of those printable Thanksgiving flags, download them for free!

Gluten Free Soft Brown Butter, Brown Sugar Cookies with Almonds Recipe

Traditional sugar cookies get a sophisticated makeover with the complex flavors of brown butter and brown sugar, rounded with nutty ground almonds!

Soft Brown Butter, Brown Sugar Cookies with Almonds

Brown butter or beurre noisette, as the French say, is the understated yet elegant ingredient that catapults these cookies from being your run-of-the-mill sugar cookies. The combination of ground almonds plays on the nuttyness of the brown butter and the brown sugar, soft and sweet, is the harmony to the butter and almond melody. And these cookies? These cookies will have you singin'.

I remember my first encounter with brown butter. I was following the guidance of a recipe for making fish caramelized in beurre noisette and as the butter turned from its comforting, vibrant yellow to a more sinister brown, I began to panic. I thought I had taken the butter too far and was preparing myself for a bitter acrid taste. Something compelled me to scoop the treacle-colored butter over the fish anyway, so I did. And then I tasted it and I was converted.

Brown butter symbolizes everything I love about cooking. It is butter's dark secret, revealed only when you take butter to its very limit. There's this sweetness, this nutty intensity. Some people have described as tasting and smelling of hazelnuts. It's such a comforting, complex flavor. In patisserie, it's used as the base of many pastry recipes and cookies and in savory cooking, it's used as a finishing sauce. In these cookies, it's the star of the show.

What Every Blogger Should Know about Copyright Protection

Written by: on
What every blogger should know about copyright protection from www.anyonita-nibbles.comGetting your head around your  copyright protection is one of the best things you can do for your blog. Understanding what you are entitled to and how to display your copyright notice helps to identify your blog as an authoritative work and clears up any confusion readers or companies may have about your content and working with you. Copyright infringement happens and if you have a blog that is read by at least one other person it probably has or will certainly happen to you--whether on accident or purposefully.

"Imitation is the highest form of flattery." That's what my mother used to tell me as a child when I would get upset that someone was copying something I did or said. That may be true, but after I've put my time, effort and energy into a blog post, photo, printable, tutorial or recipe, you can be damn sure I want recognition for it! Not because of an unhealthy need for attention, but because no one likes to feel like their contribution has been received ungratefully. And I've got news for you, blogging shouldn't be a thankless task!

This tutorial seeks to answer some of the questions bloggers have surrounding copyright policy. I'll show you how to write a copyright notice and how to get a free Creative Commons License for your blog that displays the ways your content can be used and distributed. We'll also talk about what to do when your copyright is infringed upon, because if you have a blog of quality, it's only a matter of time before that happens!
