Kale Berry Smoothie
Summertime has finally arrived here in Manchester. The weather's balmy and the nights are ever-so-slightly cool, but temperatures are holding steady around the low to mid 70s. Here in Manchester, that's hot back in in North Carolina, with these temperatures at summertime, we'd be grabbing the scarves and jackets!

One thing's sure no matter where you are: summer is the perfect time for cool, refreshing smoothies. Slipping in some extra greens is an added bonus, too! This smoothie is one of my favorite! Made with kale, fat free strawberry Greek yogurt, a tiny drizzle honey and raspberries and blackberries. Delish!

Ingredients:

For the smoothie
1/2 cup shredded kale, deveined and washed
1/2 cup semi-skimmed/2% milk
1 pot (120g) fat free strawberry Greek yogurt
1 tsp honey
1 cup frozen raspberries and blackberries

Instructions:

Tumble the frozen fruit into the bottom of your rocket blender or smoothie maker. Pulse until juiced and completely smooth.

Add the yogurt, honey, kale and milk and blitz way to incorporate.

Drink up quickly. Or, have your glass stolen by your adorable toddler and snap photos of his cute Kale Berry Smoothie mustache after he's devoured your breakfast, leaving you with an empty glass. Proof:

  2. Adorable photo and a great recipe. I've been looking for a way to "disappear" the kale, and this looks like a possibility.
