Come take a tour of food blogger's kitchen! from Anyonita Nibbles
No matter if it's big and spacious, the size of a walk-in closet or somewhere in between, the kitchen is one of the most used spaces in the home. Our kitchen, though certainly not anything extravagant, is no exception!

As a food blogger, I spend a lot of my free-time in the kitchen (and a lot of my working time, too!). It's where I go to de-stress and where I hide when I need a break. When we have guests over, plates and serving trays of food get paraded out to the living room table and it's where my toddler and I seek refuge from rainy days, standing side by side at the counter making pizzas or cookies together.

I usually share the benefits of the time spent in my kitchen, but today, I'm going to share a bit more about my actual kitchen with you and some of the products I use. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into my home!

A Tour of My Kitchen #KitchenTales

When you do as much cooking as I do, you want to be sure that all of your utensils, dishes and cookware are of the best quality you can afford and that they remain in top notch shape. This doesn't mean always buying top of the line products; that isn't always an option.

But it does mean always using the best quality products for caring for your crockery. Which is why I have always used Fairy. Even back in America, Dawn, Fairy's American counterpart, is my dish soap of choice. I trust Fairy because it consistently cleans even the muckiest of dishes and Fairy's dishwasher tablets, Platinum, have been awarded best in test by Which? for five years running. Seems I'm not the only one who thinks Fairy's pretty hot stuff!

Now, here's a glimpse, via video (!!) inside my kitchen. Apologies on the shaky camera and the weird angles -- this is my blogging video debut! Enjoy!

A few of my favorite bits of my kitchen and some things that may not have shown up so clearly on the video:
Paper lanterns add pop of color to a basic kitchen from Anyonita Nibbles
I love vibrant colors; that's one thing I hope is conveyed on my video.

Chalkboard kitchen canisters from Anyonita Nibbles
I never, ever have the required time or the necessary skills to do crafts. But the one that I did have time & skill enough to do was inspired by a Pinterest pin and it was for these chalkboard canisters. :) I love them!

Chalkboard painted herb pots from Anyonita Nibbles
I got a little chalkboard paint crazy & painted my herb pots, too. :)

Repurposed party garden lanters from Anyonita Nibbles
I love these garden lanterns. They add a lovely pop of color to my kitchen.

Brioche breakfast rolls from Anyonita Nibbles
No, we don't always leave piles of brioche uncovered on the counter, (but wouldn't it be great if we did?!) but this is Callum (my son's) breakfast of choice at the moment: chocolate chip brioche. I thought they'd make a nice prop.

Anyonita Nibbles's herb and spice racks.
 My herb and spice rack.

A collection of cookery reference books from Anyonita Nibbles
Some of my favorite cookery reference books. Kitchenella is fantastic, although I'm having to take it in bite-sized chunks. It's such a smart book! The Flavour Thesaurus is outstanding. Anyone developing their own recipes needs one. And the Larousse Gastronomique is my absolute favorite; it's a French cookery and patisserie companion. Nabbed it a used book shop, virtually unused. Now? It's full of scribbles, highlights & asterisks.

Repurposed Ikea bar from Anyonita Nibbles
I love hanging pots. :) They free up so much space in cupboards. This isn't a bar for storing pots, strictly speaking. It's from Ikea and it's a hanging rack but I've repurposed it for storing my pots and pans. It works nicely. Actually, there quite a few Ikea hacks in my kitchen: like the Billy bookcase or the dishdrain we've repurposed to store clean plates upright in the cupboard.

A jar of M&Ms from Anyonita Nibbles's kitchen tour
Who doesn't love M&Ms? Stop by our's; get a handful & make yourself at home. :) I hope you've enjoyed being nosy on this little tour of my kitchen!

  1. Good Morning Anyonita, It was a treat to take a tour around your kitchen and to see your favourite equipment.
Fairy Liquid is a washing up liquid I use and do you know so did my mum. I remember the adverts from when I was young and they were always about how kind Fairy Liquid was to the hands.... and the fact that we could wash up many more dishes when we used Fairy Liquid..... and it is true.
Do I hear a little English accent mixed with your American accent?
Thank you again for the tour.
    Best wishes

    1. Hi Daphne,
Yes! I grew up with my mother using Dawn & that's what I've always used! I was so excited when I came to the UK & saw that the company who make Dawn make Fairy--the quality is truly second to none :) Hahaha regarding the English accent! It depends on who you talk to! I NEVER hear it, but over the last few weeks, it's been pointed out to me quite a bit, so I guess it must be true! Now I've just got to work on my stereotypical British phrasing. I'll be finding reasons to inject "Cor, blimey!" & "tea & crumpets?" & "gov'na" into my speech.lol.
