Antipasti at Home with Diforti.com

I've always loved Italian food--salty prosciutto, intense sun-dried tomatoes and perfect bread served in a pool of golden olive oil with a drop of Balsamic vinegar is absolute perfection. But it can sometimes be difficult to find high-quality Italian antipasti that's authentic and delicious outside of Italy. Thankfully, with Diforti, you can have all that and have it delivered to your house!

Gorgonzola, antipasti from Diforti

Choose from a selection of boxes or mix and match and make up your own antipasti spread with the wide range of deli foods on offer. You can spend ages scrolling through their site, drooling over sun-ripened tomatoes, gherkins, grilled onions, grilled courgette, lentils, prosciutto, bresoala, mortadella, pecorino with walnut, gorgonzola, mozzarella. And that's just in the deli! There's also wine, beer, dried pasta--normal and gluten free, grissini, amaretti cookies...

Wine and Italian antipasti

For our little antipasti dinner (best served once the kids have gone to bed and you can crack open a chilled bottle of wine) we had a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio, sundried tomatoes, olives (for my husband; I hate olives), gherkins, gorgonzola, spicy salami and prosciutto. I wrapped the prosciutto around gluten free grissini.

My absolute favourite was the prosciutto. It was velvety smooth and salty and absolutely amazing. The gherkins were also really yummy. I could have finished off the whole pot! I wasn't expecting the gorgonzola to be as strong as it was--which is a good thing! I love my blue cheese, and this one did not disappoint. It just shows how much of a difference having authentic, fresh food makes!

Everything arrived in a very nicely pacakaged box. It all smelled wonderful upon opening and tasted even better than I hoped it would. I love that with Diforti, you can either choose from antipasti boxes filled with pre-selected goodies or you can choose exactly what you want. That option makes it suitable for people following a gluten free, dairy free or any other food allergy diet. You keep control and you only pay for what you want and what you can eat. That's such an important factor for me when it comes to products like this.

Gluten free antipasti spread

It's probably been about two weeks since I had my antipasti box from Diforti and I've already started a shopping cart full of new things to try. So far in my cart, I've got their pecorino with walnut--how absolutely amazing does that sound?!--and some of that incredible prosciutto and some beer that I think my husband would like. I've also got my eye on some sundried cherry tomatoes, mortadella and some gluten free pasta. There's just so much choice!
