The Sustainable Way to Binge Read Magazines

Discover the sustainable way to binge read magazines, declutter your life and save money!

Discover the sustainable way to binge read magazines, declutter your life and save money with Readly!
My husband and I are magazine obsessed. He has an entire 6 foot tall bookcase devoted to a lifetime  of magazines he loves and I'm well on my way to collecting as many. The problem is, after paying a premium for a glossy magazine of your favourite topic, you don't want to chuck it in the recycling bin after use. At around £4.99 per 'zine, those 150 or so glossy pages of inspo can cost you a small fortune.

In an effort to declutter, save cash and be more sustainable, we drastically reduced our magazine consumption ... and then we discovered the Readly app and all our magazine pet peeves and problems were solved. Readly wants you to discover their app too and are offering you a free trial! Jump to the offer!

Cook along with recipes from cookery magazines on the Readly app.

One family can share a subscription on up to five devices for just £7.99 a month. That's thousands of magazines for less than you'd pay for two magazines! Each family member can have their own account, including password protection to keep children safe and to give you peace of mind, letting them browse their selected magazines at their leisure.

My account is a mix of all my favourite interests: there are loads of cooking magazines like BBC Good Food, BBC Easy Cook, Food to Love, Olive and Delicious and gluten free magazines too like Easy Gluten-Free. But then I've saved Yoga Journal, Thrive, Psychologies, Mollie Makes, Wanderlust, The Lonely Planet, Elle Decoration and The Week. If I went to the shops and individually purchased the latest edition of each of those, it would cost me over £50 and I'd be left with a stack of magazines to either dispose of or try to find space for on already crammed bookshelves. No thanks.

But with Readly, all of my favourite magazines and new titles I'd never even heard of are available to me for less than £10 a month. I can flip through a current  or a previous issue of a magazine any time on my phone or tablet whether I'm connected to wifi or not. It doesn't eat up a ton of space on your phone, either. It truly is the perfect solution to staying current with your favourite magazines in an economical and eco-friendly way.

Enjoy a 1 Month Free Subscrition to Readly!
Try Readly out today for an entire month and pay nothing

Don't take my word for it, guys. I've got an incredible one-month free trial just for you! There's no credit card required and no commitment. It's no strings attached; all you have to do is download the app to up to five of your devices and choose some magazines to read. Then sit back and read! Start your free one month trial today!

Some of our favourite things about the app:
  1. One subscription covers the whole family. My husband, our son and myself each have our own accounts with our own magazines all for £7.99 a month.
  2. You can print magazine pages from within the app.
  3. You can go back to past issues of the magazines and read those.
  4. You can view magazines from other countries! There are thousands of UK and Ireland magazines, but you can also view titles from the United States, Australia, Canada and beyond!
  5. You can search magazines. Simply type in what you're looking for and Readly will search all of the magazines in the database. Then they will take you to the page within the magazine that your search result is on.
  6. Your place is saved, so you can pick up reading where you left off.
  7. No wifi? No problem! Read on the go!
  8. Adult accounts are password protected so kids can only view what you've authorised them to view.
  9. One subscription is good for multiple devices. We've got Readly on my iPhone, my husband's iPad and my husband's Android phone.
  10. Our monthly spend on magazines (usually around £50) has decreased to less than a tenner. That's cheaper than two coffees.

Unwind with a snack while you binge read:

The #1 Way to Start & Make Money from a Blog in 2015

Thursday, January 1, 2015

Is starting a blog & making money from it one of your New Year's Resolutions? Here's the #1 way to start a blog & make money from it this year!
Free 2015 Blog Planner from Anyonita-Nibbles.co.uk
Update: This freebie is no longer available for download.
It's the time of year for resolutions and promises. When people embark on journeys to change their lives; when they vow to do things differently and hope for different outcomes than what they've always known. On this day going on six years ago, I told myself I wanted to start a blog, a successful blog. It was one of my New Year's Resolutions and I was adamant about making a go of it.

The only issue? I had never managed to maintain a blog for longer than a month or two. But this time, I wanted it to be different. I knew I wanted to be a blogger, I just didn't know how. Today, people all across the world are sitting down and saying the same thing: I want to start a blog. But starting a blog isn't just about the community like it was in the first decade of the 2000s. Now, blogging is a way to supplement your income. It's a way to make a buck from the comfort of your home and it's why a big percentage of bloggers even get started.

I didn't make money my first year of blogging. I didn't even know you could. I didn't make money my second year of blogging, either. In my third year, I was still failing to generate an income from blogging (not that I was trying, mind you) but in my fourth and fifth years, I started to make money from my blog. And no, not small potatoes, enough money so that I didn't have to work outside my home and I loved it!

I've never been one of those bloggers to make monthly posts about all the money I've made, because, personally, I think it's tacky and boring. No one wants to be friends with people who'd invite them over and start reciting the figure on their payslips, right? Why do bloggers think their readers are waiting each month to see how much they've made? I'm not sure. That's never been my style: I don't write those posts and I don't read those posts. So if you're looking for a month-by-month breakdown of how much I've made, you won't find it here.
What you will find, though is the number 1 way to start a blog and make money from it in 2015: through a blog planner! It might seem a bit strange and anti-climatic, but the in the first few months of 2014, I'd made nearly £4,000 and it's all down to being organised and planning meticulously. To help you on your way, I've developed a blog planner that you can download for free. This planner is everything I use day in and day out to organise, promote and maintain my blog. Use it and you're guaranteed to see a difference in how you blog.

Grocery List and Menu Planner #Free #Printable

Update: This freebie is no longer available for download.
How do you stay organized with your grocery shopping and meal planning? Do you juggle multiple lists or multiple Pinterest boards? I used to be like that. I'd write my our meal plan on a calendar in my kitchen for the month and each week, I'd write it on a white board. Then I'd make the grocery list on a slip of paper.

Preivew of a free printable grocery list from Anyonita Nibbles

By the time we got to the supermarket, I'd have forgotten what we were having and if something wasn't available, I couldn't remember when it was needed or what recipe it was for! So we'd often end up with half of the ingredients and no substitutes which meant a big waste of time and an even bigger waste of money.

To combat this, I created a grocery list and meal planner in one! And because I think you're all fabulous, I'm going to share it with you! Feel free to download  it and use it to plan your meals and your weekly shop! The printable is free for personal use; for commercial use, please contact me for permission. The printable is most effective if you print it double-sided as you'll have your menu and your grocery list in one place.

If you're in the UK and Europe, download the A4 printable.
If you're in the Americas, download the letter size printable.

Enjoy!

Gluten Free Red Velvet Popcorn Valentine's Treat

Monday, January 27, 2014

Microwave popcorn gets festive for Valentine's Day with crumbs of red velvet cake, red velvet M&Ms and melted vanilla candy!  It's served with a fan-tache-stic Valentine's message to make someone's February 14th a little sweeter.

Red Velvet Popcorn Valentine's Treat

Popcorn and cake are two of my all-time favorite treats. And since Valentine's Day seems to get paired with Red Velvet cake (which just happens to be another favorite of mine), it seemed like a great idea to bring these two together for a festive love day treat! Red Velvet is the star of this treat, appearing in the cake crumbs and in the Red Velvet flavored M&Ms.

With this popcorn, you get sweet and salty--lots of sweet and just a little bit salty. You'll need to make or buy a red velvet cake beforehand, so you'll have the crumbs needed. The red velvet M&Ms were picked up at Walmart. Unfortunately, I don't think they've made their way to the UK yet, so this recipe is especially for my stateside buddies. The melted candy binds everything together into lovely chunks of red velvety popcorn.

I've tied these treats with a simple ribbon threaded through a mustache valentine that you can print for free! The valentine says "I mustache you to be my Valentine" and it comes in four lovely colors for personal use only. Get the recipe and the printable by clicking "read more"!

Gluten Free Nut-Crusted Toffee Apple Cake Recipe

A scattering of crunchy nuts and sweet toffee make this moist apple cake extra special! Serve with custard, ice cream or enjoy on its own!

Nut-Crusted Toffee Apple Cake Recipe

This Nut-Crusted Toffee Apple Cake is like eating a toffee apple but without all the hard work! It's laced with sweet toffee, succulent apples and crunchy nuts. It works well as a dessert with custard or ice cream and I even enjoyed the occasional slice for breakfast with a cup of tea.

The thing that I love most about this cake is how moist it is. It's a lip-smacking, bite-savoring delight. It's easy to make and the fanned apple design is impressive and would look right in place as the centerpiece of a dessert table during the holidays. I used Golden Delicious apples for the cake because they are my favorite eating apple, but you can use whatever variety or mix of varieties you prefer for a slightly different taste and texture.
Free Thanksgiving Mini Food Flags from www.anyonita-nibbles.com

And to help you get in the holiday spirit, I've got a free Thanksgiving printable for you too! These cute mini food flags will be great dotted around your Thanksgiving tablescape or pushed into lovely autumnal desserts. Or glue them to stripey straws and serve them with your Thanksgiving drinks.

Simply print out, cut out and glue around wooden skewers, cocktail sticks or straws. There are five styles to choose from and five different words/phrases.

How to Autoschedule Your Pins on Pinterest

Written by: on

Welcome to the Blogging Crash Course!

Helping you grow your blog into the powerhouse you know it can be!

How to Autoschedule Your Pins on Pinterest from www.anyonita-nibbles.com
Ever since Pinterest became a key marketing tool for companies and bloggers, people have been yearning for a way to schedule pins to post automatically.

Scheduled status updates on Facebook, and tweets on Twitter allow bloggers a bit of space to breathe without losing the momentum they've built up on social media sites.

As much as we love blogging and social media, we can't devote 100% of our time to it. Many of us have day jobs, mouths to feed and other hobbies to tend to. The masses have spoken repeatedly, "Give us a way to autoschedule our pins!" and one company, Pinwoot, has come to the rescue! But is autoscheduling pins everything it seems? In this tutorial, I'll show you how to autoschedule your pins in 7 steps as well as look at the pros and cons of Pinwoot.

Update: This freebie is no longer available for download.

But before we get to autoscheduling your pins, I have a free printable for you, just in time for Fall!

The Golden Rules of Guest Posting

Written by: on

The Golden Rules of Guest Posting from www.anyonita-nibbles.comWelcome to the Blogging Crash Course!

Helping you grow your blog into the powerhouse you know it can be!

Last week, we looked at how to optimize photos for Pinterest. This week, we're changing direction and talking about guest posting.

We're going to quickly cover a wide range of topics under the umbrella of guest posting and look at the benefits of it from the guest's point of view and the host's point of view.
56 Printable Kitchen Labels for Foodies from www.anyonita-nibbles.com
We'll also talk about the etiquette of guest posting and how to turn readers of your guest post into repeat visitors to your blog. Finally, we'll explore the options of charging for guest posts on your blog.

But before we jump in, I've got a freebie for you! These labels can be printed on normal paper and fastened to whatever receptacle you use for storing the appropriate herbs and spices with Mod Podge or they can be printed on sticker paper.

Just click the image to download the PDFs; print them out and use them to organize your kitchen! I've used all of the herbs and spices I have on my own spice rack to populate this list, so by no means is this exhaustive. More herbs and spices will be added as well as other kitchen cupboard staples.

Update: This freebie is no longer available for download.
